Financial Controller

Director of Finance (Manufacturing) | Space Coast Steadfast Executive Search has been engaged by a well-established, private equity-backed manufacturing organization on the Space Coast to identify a hands-on finance and controllership leader. This team is entering a meaningful growth phase driven by new and expanding customer relationships within a high-spec manufacturing environment and is seeking a partner to leadership who can build structure while remaining close to the day-to-day operations of the business. This position works closely with the President and leadership team in a fast-paced, highly interactive environment, supporting both core accounting operations and broader financial initiatives. It is fully onsite on the Space Coast. It offers strong visibility and access to senior leadership, along with the opportunity to take ownership of the accounting and controllership function while contributing to financial reporting, operational decision-making, and ongoing process improvement initiatives. Key Responsibilities Lead the monthly close process and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations, and key accounting activities Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis Operate within an ERP environment supporting financial reporting and operations Support operational financial tracking and cost analysis Analyze financial results and provide insight into trends and performance Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting processes Support audit and compliance activities within the accounting function Drive process improvements to support scalability and efficiency Lead and develop a small accounting team, with the opportunity to build out the function over time Qualifications 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with 5+ years of leadership responsibility Experience in a manufacturing environment is a must Ability to operate in a hands-on, in-office setting within a dynamic environment ERP system experience is required Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required CPA or MBA preferred Fully onsite role based on the Space Coast $140K to $165K base, depending on experience and alignment Strong bonus potential based on company performance Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with match, PTO, and holidays About Us Steadfast Executive Search LLC is a boutique search firm specializing in direct-hire accounting and finance recruitment throughout Florida.
