Banquet Manager Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum 4 years of banquet or event management experience
- Food Handlers
- Proven ability to lead, train, and manage a team of 3 or more full-time associates
- Demonstrated experience with scheduling, payroll, and staff evaluation
- Strong focus on guest service and operational efficiency
Banquet Manager Preferred Background & Skills
- Experience managing large-scale events or conferences
- Familiarity with hospitality software for scheduling and reporting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with sales and culinary departments
Banquet Manager Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Oversee all banquet operations, including setup, service, and breakdown of events
- Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate banquet staff, maintaining high service standards
- Prepare schedules, payroll, wage progress reports, and manage tip distribution
- Coordinate with culinary and service teams to ensure smooth event execution
- Uphold safety, sanitation, and loss prevention standards in all service areas
- Maintain open communication with sales, culinary, and management teams
- Monitor and control costs while ensuring exceptional guest experiences
