Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in the Emergency Room at a facility located in Lancaster, Ohio. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care to a diverse patient population experiencing acute and emergent conditions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized patient care utilizing the nursing process. This includes managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring adherence to established policies and procedures to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for each patient according to the nursing process.
• Provide quality care based on patient assessment needs and established plans of care.
• Educate patients and their families/significant others from admission through the discharge process.
• Maintain thorough, concise, accurate, and legible documentation of the nursing process.
• Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status promptly.
• Administer medications and perform treatments accurately and safely.
• Implement physician orders as written and within scope of practice.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care and report malfunctions to the appropriate department.
• Accept responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks.

Required Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (CPR).

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Previous nursing experience, preferably in an Emergency Room setting.
