Position Overview


The Project Engineer is an entry-level position within the Project Management career path. This role provides an opportunity to develop the skills and experience necessary to advance into an Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, and ultimately Senior Project Manager.


The Project Engineer will work closely with project management and field teams to support the successful planning, coordination, installation, and completion of HVAC, plumbing, and process piping systems.


Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Assistant Project Manager, Project Manager, and Senior Project Manager with the day-to-day management and coordination of HVAC, plumbing, and process piping projects.
  
  
• Review project scope and documentation to ensure all required work is properly represented and coordinated.
  
  
• Support the planning and execution of construction activities throughout the project lifecycle.
  
  
• Assist with project administration, scheduling, procurement, coordination, and closeout activities.
  
  
• Coordinate the delivery of equipment and materials to ensure they are available on-site when needed.
  
  
• Identify potential project challenges and assist in developing solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
  
  
• Work collaboratively with field personnel, subcontractors, vendors, and project management teams.
  
  
• Help track project progress and support efforts to complete projects according to approved schedules and budgets.
  
  
• Manage responsibilities across multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining organization and attention to detail.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field; relevant trade experience will also be considered.
  
  
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
  
  
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
  
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  
  
• Willingness to learn, accept feedback, and develop professionally.
  
  
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
