Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and manage patients presenting to the emergency department across all ages, using emergency nursing standards.
- Perform triage with primary assessment, establish priorities, and coordinate care with the ED team.
- Monitor, reassess, and document patient status; administer treatments, medications, and procedures as indicated.
- Educate patients and families, prepare for diagnostics or procedures, and plan for discharge or transfer as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, ancillary staff, and EMS to ensure timely and safe patient flow and safety.
- Uphold infection prevention, patient safety, and compassionate, relationship-based care to alleviate anxiety and address comfort needs.

Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and Stroke Certification (must be American Heart Association or RQI)
- Two years of acute hospital RN experience; at least one year of ED-specific RN experience
- Ability to work in a dynamic ED environment with rotating shifts
- Willingness to participate in ER triage, ED procedures, and on-call rotations as described
