We are seeking a Petitioner's Workers Compensation Paralegal to support a broad caseload and the business needs of attorneys. Reporting to and collaborating closely with the lead workers' compensation attorney, this hybrid role works three days in the office and two days from home. The position offers opportunities for career progression within litigation. Spanish and/or Portuguese language skills are a plus.
Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research using court e-filing systems and firm-specific tools.
- Draft and review legal documents.
- Provide discovery support and assist with hearing preparation.
- Investigate facts to support negotiation and settlement of legal disputes.
- Support attorneys throughout workers' compensation litigation matters.
- Track deadlines and monitor compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Maintain accurate client records and case information.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience as a petitioner's workers' compensation paralegal.
- Familiarity with legal research.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and work independently.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Deadline-oriented and detail-oriented approach.
- Self-starter with sound judgment and common sense.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three or more years of workers' compensation paralegal experience.
- Ability to speak Spanish and/or Portuguese.
