What You'll Do

As a BrightStar Care In-Home Caregiver , you will provide one-on-one, personalized care to elderly clients and adults with disabilities in the comfort of their own homes. Duties may include:

• Personal care: bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and hygiene assistance
• Mobility assistance and safe transfers
• Meal planning and preparation
• Medication reminders
• Light housekeeping and laundry
• Companionship and emotional support
• Transportation to appointments and errands
• Monitoring and reporting changes in client condition
• Dementia care, Alzheimer's care, and memory care support
• Post-surgery and post-hospitalization care
• Respite care for family caregivers

  Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Must confidently read, write, and understand spoken English
  • Ability to follow written and verbal care plan instructions
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and current auto insurance
  • Must pass a background check and drug screen
  • Compassionate, dependable, and patient-centered approach to care
  • CNA, HHA, or PCA certification a plus - but not required!
  • Experience in home care, senior care, assisted living, memory care, or personal care preferred but not required
