Registered Nurse (RN) - CVICU

Critical Care Nurse – Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Schedule: Nights - Shift options: 36 or 48 hours

Assignment Details:

• Patient ratio: 1:2
• Travel assignment
• Orientation: 24 hours

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of critical care experience
• Travel experience required
• Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
• Core CVICU skills:
• Ventilator management, HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP
• Hemodynamic monitoring: arterial lines, central lines, PA/Swan-Ganz, ABG interpretation
• Titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips; dysrhythmia management
• Post-cardiac surgery care, TAVR, sheath removal
• VAD/ECMO exposure noted (LVAD/RVAD, ECMO)
• CRRT/CVVHD and renal failure management
• Blood product administration, chest tube assistance, procedural sedation
• Infection isolation/PPE, suctioning, IV/PICC/PICC management

Compliance / Notes:

• RN license: Requires NM/Compact license prior to start
• Local candidates not accepted (50-mile local radius)
• Previous staff travelers must wait 1 year before returning as a traveler
• Onboarding modules completed onsite during orientation
• Labs expected within 48 business hours of contract signature
