We are looking for an experienced, dependable, and motivated Kitchen Manager / Head Cook to take ownership of our kitchen operations and help lead our back-of-house team.

This is a hands-on leadership position . We are not looking for someone who simply manages from the sidelines. We want someone who can lead the kitchen, cook alongside the team during busy shifts, maintain consistency, train employees, and make sure every plate leaving the kitchen meets our standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily kitchen operations
• Work the line and take the lead during high-volume lunch and dinner rushes
• Supervise, train, coach, and develop kitchen employees
• Maintain consistency in food quality, portions, presentation, and ticket times
• Prepare and oversee pizzas, appetizers, sandwiches, entrees, and other menu items
• Manage food prep and ensure proper prep levels for each shift
• Maintain recipes, portion controls, and kitchen procedures
• Monitor food costs, waste, and product usage
• Assist with inventory and food ordering
• Maintain proper food rotation and FIFO procedures
• Ensure coolers, freezers, prep areas, and cooking stations are organized
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and sanitation standards
• Ensure compliance with health department and food safety requirements
• Help create kitchen schedules and properly staff busy periods
• Hold employees accountable for attendance, performance, cleanliness, and kitchen standards
• Coordinate with restaurant management and front-of-house staff
• Help develop specials, improve menu execution, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency
• Handle kitchen problems quickly and professionally
• Lead by example and be willing to jump into any kitchen position when needed

• Takes ownership of the kitchen rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done

Position: Full-Time Kitchen Manager / Head Cook
Schedule: Must be available for a combination of days, evenings, weekends, and high-volume shifts
Experience: Restaurant cooking and kitchen leadership experience strongly preferred
