Manager, Molecular & Cellular Biology

Catalent

Catalent seeks a Manager of Molecular & Cellular Biology for its Kansas City facility to lead analytical teams supporting biologics and large molecule programs. The role combines technical expertise in advanced analytical methods with people management, project oversight, and cGMP compliance responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Lead and mentor molecular and cellular biology laboratory teams and group leaders
Oversee method development, validation, stability studies, and analytical testing activities
Manage project timelines, budgets, resource allocation, and revenue forecasting
Ensure laboratory cGMP compliance through system validation and equipment qualification
Review analytical data, verify results, and maintain quality and data integrity standards

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or related scientific discipline
Minimum 5 years of analytical, molecular, and cellular biology techniques experience
Minimum 2 years of laboratory leadership or people management experience
Deep technical knowledge in at least one analytical area (e.g., flow cytometry, BLI/SPR, qPCR)
Experience with drug development lifecycle and regulatory milestone strategies
Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to lead complex customer discussions and drive resolution
