Job Description Receiving 359 Old Jackson Rd, Madison, MS 39110 MS100 Distribution Center Part-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 4:00am - 10:00am Up to 28 hours/week OVERVIEW Find your future at Fastenal! Our distribution center is hiring energetic, team oriented individuals to work in our fast pace warehouse! Working as Part-time Receiving, you will help facilitate the movement of product throughout our distribution center. When inventory arrives at the HUB location, you will verify the product and quantity delivered. Then you will prepare the product to move to the next department, product handling. This is an entry level position based out of our distribution center located at 359 Old Jackson Rd, Madison, MS 39110. This position may offer a flexible schedule after a period of onboarding, training, and meeting performance goals. RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: Operating computer programs, RF scanners, and printers to label product Unloading product Inspecting orders to ensure accuracy of shipment and reporting discrepancies Inspecting product for quality and accuracy Using a scale for weighing product Maintaining the cleanliness and organization of work area Complying with health, safety and sustainability rules and expectations Participating in activities and programs that help the company achieve health, safety and sustainability objectives Learning, passing, and practicing various environmental health and safety trainings REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: Proficient written and oral communication skills Proficient computer skills Highly motivated, self directed and customer service oriented Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Work independently as well as in a team environment Willingness to work a flexible schedule/extra time as needed Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork Lift, slide, carry and lower packages that typically weigh 25lbs-50lbs and may weigh up to 100lbs Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the US, Puerto Rico and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS Prior experience operating a forklift ABOUT US Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
