Specimen Accessioner
$17.75 - $20.75 per hourLabcorp
Labcorp seeks a specimen accessioner for their Calabasas processing facility to prepare, identify, and route laboratory specimens for testing. The role involves specimen handling, data entry, and logistics with a night shift schedule (Friday-Tuesday, 10pm-6:30am).
Responsibilities
- Prepare and process laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Unpack, route, label, and ship specimens to appropriate staging areas and testing facilities
- Accurately enter patient information and specimen data in timely manner
- Properly store excess specimen samples and resolve documented problem specimens
- Meet department activity and production goals while working in team environment
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Comfortable handling biological specimens and ability to accurately identify them
- Strong data entry, organizational skills, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office and ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to pass standardized color blindness test
- Prior lab, specimen processing, or healthcare industry experience preferred
Compensation: $17.75 - $20.75 per hour plus shift differential
