Process Engineer

Job Description

The Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Process Engineer to join our Engineering Group at Romulus Propulsion Systems. This role will be instrumental in optimizing our manufacturing processes ensuring product quality and driving continuous improvement initiatives across our operations.

What Youll Do (Responsibilities):

• Apply General Motors Manufacturing System (GMS) principles to identify and eliminate waste standardize processes and improve overall operational efficiency.
• Conduct in-depth Process Engineering analyses including process flow PFMEA cycle time studies and bottleneck identification.
• Manage existing processes and develop opportunities to improve uptimes cycle times adn throughput including implement new manufacturing processes equipment and tooling.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production quality and maintenance to resolve manufacturing issues and drive continuous improvement in a unionized environment.
• Prepare detailed analysis related to manufacturing processes and projects.

Your Skills and Abilities (Required Qualifications):

• 2 years of engineering experience
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelors degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience planning and executing automation
• Lean manufacturing experience
• Expertise in Process Engineering techniques including process optimization and troubleshooting
• Experience leading and facilitating Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA)
• Excellent analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to work overtime and off shift as needed

What Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):

• 2 years of experience as a Process Engineer Manufacturing Engineer or Mechanical Engineer
• Bachelors degree in Engineering
• Experience working in an automotive manufacturing environment
• Experience executing cobots
• Understanding of engine component manufacturing
• GMS experience
