Position: Mechanical Designer/Design EngineerShift: On-site Position Overview:Under moderate to broad direction, can execute designs to assist in developing ideas necessary for sales, engineering, and manufacturing within the company. This includes producing safe, technically accurate, and cost-effective designs.Job Responsibilities: Support sales, manufacturing, and engineering efforts by creating all necessary drawings, designs, and schematicsPerform necessary calculations and material selection to ensure compliance with quality assurance (QA), sales, and customer requirementsCheck designs and verify all calculations to minimize errors, along with reviewing junior designers/engineers work to ensure high qualityPerform and/or evaluate simulations, calculations, etc. to test and validate designs, documentation as requiredManage drawing database – new drawings, revisions, distribution, and archivingCreate design files, Bill of Materials, calculations/calculators as requiredMaintain and update, as needed, all ISO, ASME, API, and other QA requirementsContinual expansion of knowledge pertaining to engineering and design quality standards and necessary documentation within engineering departmentPerform final engineering and QA checks prior to shipment of product to ensure compliance with sales, engineering, and QA requirementsMay perform any other work-related functions as deemed necessary and appropriate by immediate supervisorCore Qualifications:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum of 5 years of mechanical design experience, with advanced manufacturing experience/knowledge.
