Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist in our rehabilitation center, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions, utilizing diagnostic tools and techniques to inform treatment plans.
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation programs aimed at restoring mobility, enhancing functional independence, and reducing pain.
• Utilize various treatment modalities including manual therapy techniques, therapeutic exercises, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound therapy.
• Educate patients and their families on recovery strategies, exercise regimens, and injury prevention to empower them in their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team, including physicians and other healthcare professionals, to ensure seamless patient care pathways.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient documentation, tracking progress and adapting treatment plans as clinically indicated.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will engage with a broad spectrum of patients, each with unique rehabilitation needs. Typical patient demographics for our outpatient setting include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. Qualifications

The ideal candidate must possess the following qualifications:

• A current and valid license to practice as a Physical Therapist in New York State.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy or a related field; a Master's degree or Doctorate preferred.

Preferred Experience

While two years of experience is required for this position, candidates with previous experience in outpatient rehabilitation settings will have an advantage. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and evidence-based rehabilitation techniques is also preferred but not mandatory.
