Work Environment

You will be working onsite at our modern facility in Rego Park, equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and equipment. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations to assess their physical capabilities and needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that focus on restoring mobility and function.
• Administer hands-on therapy techniques such as manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to promote healing.
• Educate patients and their families on the recovery process, helping them understand their treatment and encouraging active participation in their rehabilitation journey.
• Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems to document patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes comprehensively.
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal results.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists and medical doctors, to provide holistic care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on outpatient rehabilitation patients, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. You'll work with a diverse demographic, providing tailored interventions that address unique health concerns and recovery goals. With an average patient load of seven individuals per day, you will have the chance to build meaningful, supportive relationships with each patient, monitoring their progress closely throughout their treatment plan.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A valid New York State Physical Therapist license is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapist is essential, with a strong emphasis on hands-on patient care.

Preferred Experience

• An advanced degree, such as a Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy, will be viewed favorably.
• Previous experience working in an outpatient rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated proficiency in delivering effective therapy techniques and patient education.

Compensation and Benefits

Sustain Recovery Rehab Center offers a competitive salary range of $100,000 to $120,000 annually, depending on experience.
