Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Electrical Engineer Supports R&D team to develop, validate, integrate, and successfully launch electrical components and systems to support NPD business customer requirements. Essential Functions and Activities Confer with engineers, customers, suppliers and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products. Design, implement, maintain, test and improve electrical instruments, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems. Operate CAD software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Capable of hands-on support of manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes. Executes research methodology and procedures to apply principles of electrical theory to engineering projects. Perform detailed calculations to compute and establish manufactured, construction, and installation standards and specification. Inspect completed installations and observe operation. Supports and participates in Morgan Olson’s Lean System processes. Adheres to Quality policy by exceeding customer expectations, being customer focused and supporting continuous improvement activities. Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time. Capable of electrical wiring and system problem solving and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, or two-year technical degree and a minimum of 5 years of practical and relevant experience. Proven ability to navigate and modify components and assemblies within 3D CAD software. Familiarity with common problem-solving techniques and tools such as A3, 8D or similar. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Experience with vehicle electrical/HVAC/Wiper systems, software, and vehicle diagnostics is preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
