Shipping And Receiving Team LeadUS Farathane is seeking an experienced 2nd Shift Shipping And Receiving Team Lead. This position ensures the shipment of parts is completed in an orderly fashion, so the shipments arrive on time and in good condition according to customer demands.Job Location: Auburn Hills, MI2nd shift: 3:00pm - 11:00pm $0.75/hr shift premium!US Farathane has been a leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 40 years. We provide customers with a wide range of full-service support from black-box design concepts to highly engineered composites, TPEs and TPOs as well as specialized extrusion and compression technologies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Communicate as necessary with plant personnel, in all efforts to meet the shipping schedules for on-time deliveriesBe the conduit for the company, the plant, and the materials department to effectively communicate information concerning schedules, overtime, assignments, and departmental changes to employees in assigned areaAssist supervisor in overseeing all employees in assigned areaEnsure teammates follow assignments and schedulesServe as the trainer of new employees for the shipping and receiving departmentMonitor all personnel in assigned area for adherence to company policies and procedures (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, etc.)Serve as leader for associates in assigned area in group problem solving and employee involvement activityAssist in cycle counting of warehouse inventories when requiredAssist in auditing inbound and outbound shipments when requiredBe certified to operate a forklift and train new hires to operate a forkliftMust be trained and able to generate shipping documents, export papers as needed, accurately operate shipping and receiving equipment including bar code equipment and UPS machineMust be able to load trucks with finished goods for customers, verifying shipper with product loadedUnload, receive in, and put away in proper location purchased material after quantity verification and inspectionMaintain high level of organization in keeping warehouse organized and cleanResponsible for seeing that stock is rotated (FIFO – First In / First Out)Stage and correctly label all outbound productProfessional and exceptional communication with internal and external customersConfirm and update shipping documents to comply with customer regulationsAdhere to all company policies and procedures, (i.e., quality policy manual, associate handbook, etc.), and comply with all internal and OSHA required safety proceduresOther duties as assignedQualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
