Substitute Bus Driver - Transportation Department
$20.91 per hourBullitt County Schools
Join us for the 2026-2027 school year. Operate a school bus over designated routes in accordance with time schedules, picking up and discharging students; provide safe and efficient transportation for district students to and from school, special events and field trips; perform daily inspections and operator maintenance of vehicle; assist in the loading and unloading of physically and mentally handicapped students as necessary.

New hires may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.
Payroll Note: While this is an hourly position, the salary is distributed via a year-long contract over 10 months. You will receive 4 paychecks at the end of June. Salary Formula: Hours per day × Hourly rate = Daily rate <> Daily rate × Contracted days = Annual salary. <> Annual salary ÷ Remaining pay periods = Gross biweekly pay Why Join BCPS?

- Education:
- High school diploma or GED
- Documentation: Candidates must provide proof of educational requirements to HR upon recommendation for hire.
- Must be willing to obtain CDL License with School Bus and Passenger Endorsement.
- Starting Pay (Step 0): $20.91/hour
- Experienced Pay (Step 10): $23.09/hour

- The hired applicant is responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.
