Research Lab Technician Lead

We are looking for someone that has the aptitude to learn new techniques, works well with others, and possesses strong critical thinking skills. Responsibilities Help maintain lab organization and record all information, daily, in an official laboratory notebook. Assist with experiments that involve mouse handling and animal behavior assays. Support the maintenance and organization of mouse colonies, including involvement in genotyping and genetic crosses. Aid in mouse tissue dissection and preparation for downstream applications. Demonstrate proficiency with laboratory protocols, equipment operation, and standard techniques, or show aptitude to learn these quickly. Participate and present data in periodic research discussions. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and achieve short‑ and long‑range plans. Monitor laboratory instrumentation, ensuring proper functioning and performing routine maintenance as needed. Perform additional duties as assigned, according to research or lab needs. General Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required and 2‑4 years of experience in a related field. 2+ years of direct experience with in‑vivo mouse handling in a research setting, including handling, behavior, and tissue collection. Familiarity with statistical analysis (training will be provided). Senior Level Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required and 2‑4 years of experience in a related field. 2+ years of direct experience with in‑vivo mouse handling in a research setting, including handling, behavior, and tissue collection. Lead Level Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required and 4+ years of experience in a related field. 3+ years of direct experience with in‑vivo mouse handling in a research setting, including handling, behavior, and tissue collection. This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate.
