Job Description

This role involves performing mechanical assembly of parts and components in a clean, partially climate-controlled production environment. You will use hand and power tools to assemble products according to basic instructions or blueprints, while following safety procedures and completing quality checks. This position suits someone with strong mechanical aptitude, a willingness to learn, and the ability to perform physical, repetitive tasks reliably.

Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical assembly of parts and components according to production requirements and basic instructions or blueprints.

• Use standard hand tools, including wrenches, and power tools to assemble mechanical components safely and efficiently.

• Conduct basic quality checks on assembled parts to ensure they meet specified standards and requirements.

• Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

• Stand for extended periods, lift components as needed, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the shift.

• Maintain reliable attendance and a strong work ethic to support consistent production output.

• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively to meet production goals and resolve issues.

• Keep the work area clean and organized to support safety and efficiency.

Essential Skills

• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to understand and perform mechanical assembly tasks.

• Proficiency in using standard hand tools, including the ability to physically turn a wrench.

• Experience using basic power tools in a production or mechanical environment.

• Ability to read and follow basic instructions and, where applicable, simple blueprints.

• Capability to stand for long periods, lift components, and perform repetitive motions safely.

• Reliable attendance and a strong, consistent work ethic.

• Attention to detail to perform basic quality checks on assembled components.

• Commitment to following safety procedures and maintaining a safe work environment.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Jefferson City, TN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.32 - $18.32/hr.
