Patient Navigator
Brooklyn Hospital Center
The Patient Navigator utilizes medical assistant skill set to assist physicians and nurses in improving the patient experience in outpatient centers. Serve as a liaison between the Center and the patient and family in order to improve the patient experience related to key measures of patient satisfaction. Insure effective communication between the patient and family and the Center. Performs pre-visit planning and visit discharge activities. Demonstrate highest level of service excellence. Provides vital signs, phlebotomy, EKG and other Medical Assistant functions, as needed.
- High School Graduate or GED
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant Program licensed by the New York State Department of Education.
- Minimum of one (1) to two (2) years of experience in ambulatory health setting.
- Basic data entry / typing skills.
- Bilingual Spanish / English
