Travel Services Manager

Position Overview The Travel Services Manager researches, books and monitors virtually all travel arrangements for our small but busy staff, most of whom travel on a regular basis. The job requires a detail-oriented relationship-builder, with budget management experience, flexibility, and proven multi-tasking ability. This position is exempt, onsite and full-time, requiring some after-hours availability during active travel periods. The job is based in our north Phoenix office, and reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Travel Arrange and manage all company-related travel within a project's budgetary guidelines. Operate as the main point of contact for colleagues and vendors, which may include communication outside of regular work hours. Maintain and recommend edits to the company's travel policy, which is a living document. Use and evaluate travel software programs like Engine and other sites, to maximize savings, efficiency and ease of use. Provide detailed travel itineraries to staff; track, change anticipate and problem-solve transportation issues in real time. Find and maximize travel benefits associated with reward and frequent-flyer programs, such as how best to earn and apply points, meal options, cash‑back offers, off‑peak travel discounts, rideshare offers, hotel and car rental incentives, credit card perks, airline programs and in‑flight options. Build vendor relationships with enterprise‑level support as the goal, wherever possible. Research available options and services, building and documenting a network of national contacts that support housing, car rentals, meals and other travel‑related options. Maintain consistent practices as supported by established travel guidelines and parameters. Essential Education, Skills and Physical Requirements High school graduate or GED holder. Postsecondary education or its equivalent is a plus. A background including at least two years of managing complex, national travel arrangements is strongly preferred, with some international travel experience helpful. Experience as a budget manager is highly desired. Highly proficient user of Microsoft 365 business suite tools, with an emphasis on Excel.
