Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A remote telehealth pharmacist opportunity is available to support a growing medication therapy management (MTM) program. This 13-week contract assignment offers the potential for extensions as the client expands services from Louisiana to up to 40 states by fall, providing broad patient impact and professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive medication reviews (CMRs) and targeted medication reviews (TMRs) via phone or video to address side effects, answer therapy questions, and improve medication adherence.
• Evaluate prior authorization requests, formulary exceptions, and step therapy limits according to clinical guidelines and safety standards.
• Collaborate with prescribers through secure communication channels to recommend cost-effective, formulary-aligned medication alternatives when restrictions apply.
• Proactively identify patients with gaps in care and coordinate with providers to optimize therapy outcomes.
• Support formulary management by translating clinical intent into claims adjudication rules and reviewing complex claims data.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA, state telepharmacy regulations, and client contractual requirements through accurate documentation.

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree required.
• Active, unrestricted pharmacist license in one or more states (multi-state licensing preferred; particularly licenses from Louisiana, Alaska, California, Indiana, Massachusetts, and surrounding states).
• Minimum 2 years clinical pharmacy experience, preferably in managed care, pharmacy benefit management (PBM), or telehealth settings.
• Strong knowledge of chronic disease management, drug utilization review, and formulary navigation.
• Proficient in telehealth software, electronic health records (EHR), and PBM claims platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively engage patients and providers.

Location:

• Fully remote with Louisiana as the operational hub; candidates licensed in Louisiana will have the greatest opportunity for ongoing work during project rollout.
• Preference for pharmacists licensed in multiple states to enhance full-time possibilities.
