Position: Blood Specimen Collector
Location: Liverpool, NY
Schedule: Monday – Friday 7:30AM-4:00PM, Rotating Saturdays 7:00AM-12:00PM
Projected duration: 3 months + potential for perm

Summary: Seeking a dedicated individual to assist with blood draws, maintaining records, and ensuring proper specimen storage.
Responsibilities:
Perform blood draws, label specimens, and follow proper storage procedures. Communicate effectively with patients about the collection process.
Use various techniques for specimen collection and understand all physician orders. Verify accuracy of all test requisitions and specimen labeling.
Prepare specimens for transport according to protocol. Follow OSHA and DEP regulations and participate in department trainings.
Answer inquiries over the phone and report laboratory results accurately.
Qualifications:
Valid Phlebotomy certification required. 6 months’ experience in venipunctures. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. High School Diploma or GED
2 to 4 years of relevant experience required
