Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (19:00 - 07:00) Experience: Minimum 2 years required; first timers accepted License: Active RN Licensure in GA or Compact License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS Must-Have: - Proficiency in Epic charting system - Experience with adult to geriatric patient population - Prior experience in Neuro/Surgical Intensive Care Unit preferred Description: The position requires a Registered Nurse in the ICU specialty. The nurse will provide care to a patient population ranging from adults to geriatrics. Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU setting. First-time travelers are welcome to apply. Candidates will be responsible for managing patients with various critical needs. The ICU unit has a ratio of 1:2-3, with an average daily census of 10 patients. Certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are mandatory for this role. Nurses will be expected to float within the facility as needed. The position requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays. Major holidays during the assignment period will require the nurse to be present. Compliance with onboarding requirements is essential for timely start. Nurses are expected to perform a variety of critical care tasks, including but not limited to arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, and management of dysrhythmias. This role demands excellent communication and teamwork skills, as interdisciplinary collaboration is a key aspect of patient care in the unit.
