MA Clinician - Deaf Services Respite

The MA Clinician will provide crisis and respite support services to individuals in being supported by the Deaf Respite Program. Are you ready to make a difference? Minimum Education Required Master's Degree Shift First Shift, Second Shift Additional Shift Details Sunday-Thursday Responsibilities * Ensure an environment that promotes safety, recovery, and treatment. * Provide psychiatric and substance abuse evaluations of individuals at the Respite site. * Provide clinical oversight of work performed at the respite program, including participation in an on-call rotation. * Work with clients in a collaborative manner to develop assessments, Individualized Action Plans (IAPs), Individualized Service Plans (ISPs), crisis plans, relapse plans, and other items needed to support their stay at the program. * Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of managed care and health insurance systems. * Provide information on treatment and referral services. Maintain linkages with specific community services by providing documented case consultations and problem resolution. * Provide transportation to appointments and other community integration opportunities. * Ensure the program site is maintained in a clean and sanitary manner. Qualifications * Master's Degree in related field and at least two years' experience with target population (inpatient, outpatient, residential acceptable). * Must be fluent in American Sign Language (ASL). * Ability to develop and maintain satisfactory working relationships with employees and providers. * Must have working knowledge of current version of the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders. * Must possess excellent assessment and interviewing skills. * Basic computer knowledge. * Excellent communication skills. * High energy level, superior interpersonal skills and ability to function in a team atmosphere. * Must hold a valid driver's license, have access to an operational and insured vehicle and be willing to use it to transport clients. * Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
