Associate Estimator

Associate Estimator Position based out of our New Castle, PA office. About the Position Assist preconstruction and project management teams with preconstruction services including preparation of estimates, proposals, bid reviews, document reviews, cost value analysis, and bid processes. Estimators coordinate estimate take-offs and lead teams on challenging projects. Ideal Candidate Has a growth mindset and is always looking to continually learn and grow. Has superior analytical and mathematical skills, conceptual estimating, and critical thinking skills. Is detail oriented with strong problem‑solving ability and exceptional time management. Day in the Life Plan and monitor estimating activities, collecting quotes, performing estimates, scheduling tasks, and achieving goals and standards. Review bid documents and work with the project manager and chief estimator to determine expenses, labor rates, and other costs, using estimating software. Survey job sites as needed for scope of work and determine the most cost‑effective and efficient plan possible. Compose estimate documents accurately, assist in procurement process, proposal writing for RFPs, bids, and related reports. Ensure all estimates and RFPs meet customer and company conditions. Collaborate with purchasing to reduce material buy‑out risk; with design on design‑build and design‑assist projects; provide coaching, mentoring, and training to colleagues. Minimum Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent work experience in construction management or related field. Minimum 1 year electrical construction experience in estimating, common code requirements, and design/build and plan/spec estimating. Excellent communication skills including high‑quality documentation and report preparation. Ability to read, interpret, and understand electrical contracts, plans, drawings, blueprints, and specifications; extensive electrical code knowledge. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as effectively as part of a team. Travel Occasional travel may be required.
