Program Support Specialist

McKinley Children’s Center is a highly respected welfare organization with programs and services including short-term residential treatment, foster care, adoptions, mental health services, and special education. With five locations throughout Southern California, the main campus is in San Dimas. Position Program Support Specialist – responsible for primary crisis intervention support, liaison for program implementation, and providing professional and programmatic guidance to client constituencies. Compensation and Benefits Hourly rate: $21.00–$25.00, depending on experience. Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance Life Insurance Flexible Spending Account Paid Time Off Sick Time Paid Holidays 403(b) retirement plan with company match up to 3% Employee Assistance Program Tuition Reimbursement Employee Referral Bonus Credit Union Membership Training Opportunities to Further Personal and Professional Growth Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree Preferred 2 years of experience working with children and performing crisis intervention Proficiency in word processing and general office skills Must pass pre‑employment physical exam, TB and drug screening Ability to commute to various sites on campus Ability to physically restrain children and bend, stoop, kneel Clear DOJ, FBI, and Child Abuse Index background checks Insurability under corporate automobile insurance Key Responsibilities Follow through on commitments made to children Provide crisis intervention/behavior management for students not remaining in the classroom or causing significant disruption Assist teaching teams with identifying and troubleshooting problem areas Participate in developing behavior plans Assist with classroom and campus coverage and provide orientation to new students Document incidents per agency policy Assist with supervision of community day students and supervise all transitions for community and residential students Distribute daily logs to teachers and monitor DVS behavior intervention program Use personal cell phone for work‑related communication when agency radios and phones are not accessible Supervise Instructional Assistants assigned to buildings Perform other related duties as assigned Why Should You Apply?
