Location: Cypress, CA 90630

Pay Rate: $21-$22/hr on W2

Duration: Contract Position

Schedule: 5AM to 6PM but must be flexible to work an 8-hour shift within this window to meet the needs of the department

Position Summary

The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for managing inbound and outbound call center activities, coordinating service technician dispatches, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring timely communication with customers and field technicians. This position requires strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, and a calm, professional approach when handling urgent or high-pressure situations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Handle multiple inbound and outbound calls, including emergency service calls, promptly and courteously while prioritizing urgent requests.
• Dispatch service technicians immediately based on customer needs, service requirements, and established response timelines.
• Escalate service requests and seek additional support when established response timelines cannot be met.
• Follow up with customers promptly to confirm technician assignments and estimated times of arrival.
• Prioritize tasks effectively and remain calm and professional in stressful or time-sensitive situations.
• Enter, update, and maintain accurate customer, technician, service, and call-related information in the appropriate systems.
• Review and analyze data to identify, correct, and prevent errors.
• Perform daily technician check-in and check-out procedures.
• Prepare correspondence, emails, spreadsheets, reports, and other documentation as required.
• Scan, file, photocopy, fax, download, and organize documents in accordance with standard operating procedures.
• Maintain accurate and organized records while following established procedures and documentation standards.
• Communicate effectively and maintain positive, professional working relationships with customers, technicians, and internal associates.
• Work flexible hours based on the call center schedule established by management.
• Assist the Lead Coordinator and Supervisor with additional duties and special projects as assigned.

Required Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of general office, administrative, or computer-related coursework preferred.
• 24 years of experience in an office, administrative, customer service, dispatch, or call center environment; call center experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and general computer systems.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with team members.
• Strong problem-solving and data-entry skills.
