Data Warehouse Etl DeveloperOur client is seeking an experienced Data Warehouse ETL Developer to join their Data Analytics Team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ETL methodologies, SSIS, and data warehousing, supporting efforts to deliver high-quality data extracts, reports, and dashboards. The role requires a Baltimore-area resident with excellent SQL skills and experience working within cross-functional teams.Location: Baltimore, Maryland (Hybrid – part-time in office, part-time virtual; may transition to fully on-site)Experience Required: 5+ years ETL development, 3+ years SSIS experience. Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, MIS, Business Management, Engineering, Project Management, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent experience).Key Responsibilities:Develop, execute, and monitor ETL processes ensuring accurate and efficient data movement and transformation.Retrieve data from multiple systems for data extracts, reports, and dashboards, ensuring data quality before release.Write and maintain SQL test scripts to validate data against source transactional systems and the data warehouse.Document ETL processes, test cases, and results to support testing repeatability and knowledge sharing.Collaborate with SQL Server DBAs, system architects, and developers to design and optimize stable, reliable databases.Plan and coordinate data migration activities between systems in line with project goals.Assist in defining business and testing requirements in coordination with stakeholders.Conduct unit, system, and performance testing; support User Acceptance Testing and issue resolution.Adhere to software development standards, change control processes, and security protocols.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.Communicate project status and progress regularly to sponsors and stakeholders.Build strong relationships with project sponsors, technical staff, vendors, and end-users to drive collaborative success.
