The role also prepares workpapers, supports annual audits, assists with multi-state tax compliance, and contributes to special projects. This opportunity is a great opportunity for someone who wants broad accounting experience with a growing company.Prepare monthly journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, allocations, and reclassesPerform balance sheet account reconciliations, including bank reconciliationsConduct variance and trend analysis to confirm accuracy of financial dataMaintain fixed asset and depreciation schedules, including additions, disposals, and reconciliation to the general ledgerSupport multi-state sales and use tax, property tax, and business license filings in coordination with the external tax teamReview vendor invoice coding for accuracy and proper GL classificationPrepare schedules and supporting documentation for the annual financial statement audit and respond to auditor requestsPrepare schedules and supporting documentation for the annual FAR overhead expense audit and respond to auditor requestsAssist with special projects and ad hoc reporting/analysis as needed, supporting the Accounting team and other departmentsIdentify opportunities to improve close processes, strengthen internal controls, and increase automationQualificationsBachelor's degree in accounting2–5 years of general ledger accounting experienceSolid understanding of US GAAP, including accrual accounting and revenue recognitionStrong Excel skills, including XLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and working with large data setsStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong attention to detail and organization, with the ability to meet close deadlinesAbility to manage competing deadlines and work independentlyApplicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis.
