Operations Associate

Karl Kapital seeks a versatile, detail‑driven Operations Associate to support our expanding platform. We are a hedge fund with a seasoned six‑person research team and deep expertise across global financial services. The firm values precision, accountability, and thoughtful communication. This role combines core operations and compliance support and is well‑suited for someone who thrives in a lean environment and is eager to grow alongside an expanding operations team.

• Assist with compliance monitoring, recordkeeping, and periodic testing.
• Support regulatory filings and reporting requirements (e.g., Form ADV updates, Form PF coordination, marketing rule documentation).
• Assist with maintaining internal policies, procedures, and compliance calendars.
• Partner with external counsel and compliance consultants as needed.

• Oversee daily operational workflows, ensuring accurate books and records in partnership with the financial support vendor and fund administrator.
• Perform trade reconciliations and monitor for exceptions.
• Light accounting work for the investment manager.
• Manage account openings, KYC/AML documentation, and counterparty onboarding.
• Maintain operational data feeds, system integrations, and internal reporting.
• Provide oversight of trade capture and settlement escalating issues to brokers or the PM team when needed.

• 2-5 years of experience in hedge fund operations, compliance, or a similar industry.
• Excellent writing skills and comfort communicating with sophisticated institutional investors.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks and regulatory filings.
• Proficiency with Excel and ability to learn OMS/PMS/CRM systems
• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and comfortable operating in a lean, entrepreneurial environment.
