Welder - 2nd Shift

Location: Seattle, WA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM

Pay: $30-$35/hour

Position Type: Contract-to-Hire

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join a growing manufacturing team in Seattle. This position focuses on MIG, TIG, and laser welding of precision components produced through CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication. The ideal candidate will have strong fabrication and welding experience, the ability to read blueprints and welding symbols, and a commitment to producing high-quality work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Perform MIG, TIG, and laser welding on steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and other materials
• Weld components produced through CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, welding symbols, and work instructions
• Set up welding equipment and select appropriate filler materials, gases, and welding parameters
• Complete fit-up, tack welding, and final welding operations
• Inspect welds for quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with specifications
• Grind, clean, and finish welds as required
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and replace welding consumables
• Prepare materials for welding and organize completed assemblies for downstream operations
• Maintain accurate documentation and support quality inspections
• Follow all safety procedures, hot work protocols, and PPE requirements
• Work closely with fabrication, machining, quality, and assembly teams to support production goals

• High school diploma or GED
• Minimum 2 years of MIG and/or TIG welding experience
• AWS Certified Welder certification in at least one welding process
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and welding symbols
• Knowledge of welding procedures and metallurgy
• Experience setting up welding equipment and adjusting welding parameters
• Ability to identify weld defects and perform visual weld inspections
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity
• Strong safety mindset and ability to follow manufacturing safety procedures

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Seattle, WA.

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Seattle,WA.
