Payroll Coordinator

The Rome City School District is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Coordinator responsible for managing and coordinating payroll operations with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. Under the general supervision of the Assistant Superintendent of Business and Operations, the Payroll Coordinator will maintain payroll records, process payroll entries and deductions, assist employees with payroll-related inquiries, and help ensure compliance with district policies and bargaining agreements. This role also supports retirement system reporting, time and attendance systems, and the preparation of state and federal payroll reports. Strong organizational skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse environment are essential.

Position Details & Qualifications

• Civil Service Status: Competitive classification. The selected candidate must take and pass the appropriate Civil Service examination.
