Back Payroll Manager (Contract) Location: Orlando, FL 32809 Job Type: Contract Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Compensation: $50/hr – $75/hr Benefits: Health, Dental, Vision Our client in the medical equipment industry seeks a Payroll Manager to oversee high‑volume, multi‑state payroll operations. The role serves as a key liaison between Finance and Human Resources, ensuring accurate payroll processing, compliance with payroll tax regulations and labor laws, and resolution of employee payroll inquiries. Responsibilities Manage end‑to‑end payroll processing for a large, multi‑state workforce on a weekly and/or bi‑weekly basis. Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies. Audit and verify timekeeping records, pay adjustments, deductions, and tax withholdings. Maintain payroll system accuracy and support HRIS data integration, including benefits, garnishments, and new hire information. Serve as the primary contact for payroll‑related questions and issue resolution. Prepare payroll reports, support audits, and identify process improvement opportunities. Qualifications 3+ years of payroll management or combined HR/Payroll experience. Experience processing high‑volume payroll for large organizations. Hands‑on experience with ADP. Strong knowledge of payroll tax compliance and employment laws. Proficiency with HRIS platforms and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
