Tec Centro Network is a workforce development organization focused on preparing adults for careers in the skilled trades. They are seeking a Commercial/Residential Electrician (mechanical maintenance experience a plus) who is ready to step off the jobsite and into a full-time instructor role.

No formal teaching experience? That's okay—we value real-world experience and will support your transition into the classroom.

What You'll Do

As a Trade & Technical Instructor, you will deliver engaging, hands-on training that prepares adult learners for real-world success.

Teach commercial and residential electrical systems, tools, and techniques
Introduce mechanical maintenance fundamentals (preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.)
Deliver hands-on, practical instruction aligned with industry standards
Reinforce jobsite safety, OSHA practices, and code compliance
Adapt teaching methods to support diverse and non-traditional learners
Track student progress and provide coaching, feedback, and mentorship
Foster a supportive, career-focused learning environment

Required Qualifications

Minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience in electrical work (commercial and/or residential)
Strong knowledge of tools, equipment, safety practices, and electrical systems
High School Diploma or equivalent

Preferred Qualifications

Journeyman license or relevant certifications
Experience in mechanical maintenance
Prior teaching, training, or mentoring experience (formal or informal)
Experience working with adult learners or career transition populations
Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly valued
