Transportation Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Transportation Coordinator to join our team at Marvin and Betty Danto Health Care Center in West Bloomfield Township, Michigan. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of our patients to and from medical appointments, therapies, and other destinations.

Responsibilities:

Schedule resident appointments

Drive our vehicles safely and efficiently to transport patients to and from medical appointments, therapies, and other destinations
Maintain accurate records of patient transportation, including pickup and drop-off times, destinations, and any special requests or needs

Ensure that all vehicles are clean, well-maintained, and stocked with necessary supplies and equipment
Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare staff to ensure seamless transportation and any special requirements
Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are safe and ready for operation
Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up to date on best practices and regulatory requirements

Requirements:

Valid Michigan driver's license with a clean driving record
High school diploma or equivalent required

25 years or old per insurance requirements
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check
Ability to lift, push, and pull equipment and supplies as needed
Strong communication and customer service skills

Work Environment:

Work as part of a dynamic and supportive team in a fast-paced healthcare environment
May be required to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
