Senior Accountant

Ascendo Resources is currently seeking a Senior Accountant for a full-time, hybrid role. Our client is a growing wholesale and import company in the home goods space.

This isn't a "close your spreadsheet and go home" kind of role. You'll have direct exposure to leadership and play a meaningful part in stabilizing and improving a dynamic operational finance environment - think inventory accounting, ERP integrations, multi-entity close, and financial reporting across a fast-moving product business.

If you've got strong general ledger fundamentals, love digging into reconciliations, and have worked in wholesale, distribution, or consumer products - we'd love to talk .

What You'll Be Doing :

• Own account reconciliations and general ledger maintenance
• Prepare monthly financial reports and supporting schedules
• Post journal entries and assist with full-cycle close (month, quarter, year-end)
• Support inventory, landed cost, freight, and accrual accounting
• Reconcile ERP inventory, AP, and financial data
• Assist with cash forecasting and availability reporting
• Identify and resolve ERP interface and reconciliation issues
• Improve close documentation, controls, and workflow processes

What We're Looking For:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of accounting experience
• Strong month-end close and reconciliation background
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Inventory accounting experience (preferred)
• Experience with Blue Cherry ERP or Solomon/Dynamics SL is a big plus
• Background in wholesale, import, distribution, or consumer products environments
