Senior Accountant

A well-established manufacturing company in Waukegan is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This position will play a key role in month-end close, general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial analysis, and process improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while collaborating cross-functionally within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Prepare and record standard and adjusting journal entries during month-end close Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and maintain supporting schedules for assigned accounts Analyze financial data and support accounting operations through ad hoc reporting and special projects Assist with accounting process improvements and operational efficiencies within the finance department Assist with financial reporting processes utilizing reporting and ERP systems Help develop, document, and maintain accounting policies and procedures Support internal controls, compliance initiatives, and audit-related requests Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required CPA or CPA-track preferred 5+ years of accounting or financial reporting experience, preferably within manufacturing or corporate environments Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close processes Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required Experience with ERP systems and financial reporting tools preferred Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities Effective written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage. #J-18808-Ljbffr Connect Search, LLC
