HVAC Mechanic (union)

Responsibilities Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems. Repair or troubleshoot centrifugal, steam turbines, open‑drive screw chillers, rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, and plumbing. Use vibration equipment and dial indicators to troubleshoot driveline and shaft alignment issues. Partner with journeymen in repair activities and support branch customers. Provide the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items. Offer solutions and outcomes during commissioning and aftermarket service, including upselling opportunities. Provide customers with quotes and communicate problem, cause, and corrective actions. Prioritize safety in all activities. Qualifications Minimum of three (3) years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry (rooftop units, pumps, fans, towers, boilers, chillers, compressors, plumbing). Practical experience in HVAC piping, plumbing, pipefitting, and/or mechanical equipment service industry. Ability to perform mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators and to use vibration isolation equipment. Willingness to travel 10–20% to support branch customers. Self‑starter with a passion for learning and applying skills on the job. Prioritize safety in all forms. Valid driver’s license and Universal EPA refrigerants license or equivalent state/local licensing. Benefits Pay: $41 per hour, determined by the CBA/rate sheet.
