Database Manager

Tasks:

• Manage and optimize database platforms (e.g., Snowflake, SQL Server, cloud data services) Ensure system performance, availability, and reliability Maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes Monitor systems and proactively resolve issues Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory Develop and optimize ETL/ELT processes for business systems Troubleshoot and improve data integrations Ensure data quality, governance, and security standards Manage access control, data protection, and compliance Support data consistency and documentation (definitions, lineage) Improve and modernize data architecture, models, and processes Drive automation and efficiency across the data platform Evaluate and introduce new tools and technologies Collaborate with business and technical teams to deliver data solutions Support users (analysts, developers) with data-related needs Communicate changes and provide guidance or training Strong experience with databases (Snowflake, SQL Server or similar) Hands-on data pipeline / ETL experience (Azure Data Factory preferred) Solid understanding of data architecture, performance, and optimization Problem-solving mindset with focus on reliability and scalability Ability to work with both technical teams and business stakeholders Knowledge of data governance and security principles

Requirements:

• Must have Microsoft Certified Azure Data Engineer Associate (DP203) SnowPro Core Certification Proven experience managing and administering database platforms such as Snowflake, SQL Server, or other cloudbased data warehouses Handson experience designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines using Azure Data Factory or similar integration tools Strong understanding of ETL/ELT methodologies, data modelling, and performance optimisation. Familiarity with APIbased integrations and connectors for business applications (e.g., Pigment, Sage, CRM/ERP systems) Knowledge of cloud architectures, data storage patterns, and modern data engineering practices. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex database, pipeline, and integration issues. Experience improving system performance, reliability, and scalability through proactive monitoring and optimisation. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fastpaced environment while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Strong analytical mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and automation. Good to have Bachelors degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field Masters preferred
