Position: RN Hospice

Unit: Hospice – Skilled Nursing

Start Date: September 21, 2026

Shift: Day Shift, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM

Contract Status: Accepting Applications

Mileage: Paid in addition to the hourly rate

Travel Requirement: Traveler must have Hospice experience

Caseload: Typically 12–18 patients

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of practice – Required
• CPR or BLS certification from an approved vendor – Required
• Valid Driver’s License – Required
• Must be 21+ years old
• Current automobile insurance
• Reliable automobile
• Hospice nursing experience – Required for this position
• BSN – Preferred
• 5 years of hospice nursing experience – Preferred

Main Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned hospice patient caseload.
• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop and update individualized care plans.
• Provide skilled nursing care, including medication management, pain/symptom control, and wound care.
• Educate patients and families about medications, symptoms, and hospice philosophy.
• Coordinate care with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Follow Medicare, Medicaid, and state/federal hospice regulations.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and respond to after-hours patient needs.
