Job Description Ken’s Gutters is seeking anexperienced Safety & OSHA Compliance Officer to oversee and strengthen thesafety program for our field operations. This is not an entry-level safetyposition or a general HR compliance role. Our field professionals performgutter cleaning, dryer vent cleaning, and other exterior home services thatfrequently involve extension ladders, roof access, and working at heights. Weare specifically looking for someone with hands-on experience managing thesetypes of occupational safety risks. The position is approximately 5–10hours per week and will include a combination of safety program administration,employee training, documentation, and periodic field inspections. What You Will Be Responsible For Review our current fieldoperations and identify OSHA and workplace safety compliance gaps. Develop, implement, and maintainappropriate written safety policies and procedures. Ensure compliance with applicableOSHA requirements for our field operations. Establish and oversee proceduresfor working at heights and fall prevention/protection. Establish and monitor laddersafety procedures, including proper selection, setup, use, inspection, andremoval of unsafe equipment from service. Review requirements for harnesses,personal fall protection equipment, anchors, and other fall-protection systemswhere applicable. Establish PPE requirements fordifferent types of field work. Conduct periodic safetyinspections of technicians working at customer properties. Identify unsafe practices andrecommend or require corrective action. Develop Job Hazard Analyses / JobSafety Analyses as appropriate. Conduct or coordinate requiredsafety training for employees. Maintain appropriate documentationof safety training and inspections. Develop recurring toolbox talksand safety refreshers. Review incidents and near misses,identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Advise management regarding OSHArecordkeeping and reporting requirements. Review safety requirementsapplicable to both employees and subcontracted field professionals. Keep management informed ofregulatory changes or safety issues affecting our operations. Help create a practical safetyculture where field employees understand not only the rules, but how to performtheir work safely. Required Experience Professional experience inconstruction safety, roofing safety, exterior home services, facilities/fieldservices, or another industry involving significant work-at-height hazards. Strong working knowledge of OSHAconstruction safety standards (29 CFR Part 1926). Demonstrated experience with fallprotection and working-at-height safety. Demonstrated experience withportable and extension ladder safety. Experience conductingfield/jobsite safety inspections. Experience developing orimplementing written safety procedures. Experience delivering safetytraining to field employees. Ability to identify unsafeconditions and clearly communicate required corrective actions. Ability to maintain accuratesafety and training documentation. Strongly Preferred OSHA 30-Hour Constructioncertification. OSHA 510 or equivalent advancedOSHA training. Experience serving as orsupporting an OSHA Competent Person for relevant hazards. Experience with residentialroofing, gutters, exterior home services, construction, or similar fieldoperations. Experience with personalfall-arrest systems, harnesses, anchors, and rescue procedures. Safety certifications such asCHST, ASP, CSP, or similar are a plus. This Position Is NOT a Fit If: Your safety experience isprimarily office-based. Your experience is limited to HRcompliance or workers' compensation administration. Your primary experience is foodsafety, healthcare compliance, environmental compliance, or cybersecurity. You have completed an OSHA coursebut have not actually managed safety for employees working on ladders, roofs,or at heights. Schedule This is a part-time position ofapproximately 5–10 hours per week. The schedule can offer someflexibility; however, this is not a fully remote position. The Safety &OSHA Compliance Officer must be available to visit our office and periodicallyobserve field employees performing actual work at customer locations. Compensation $45–$55 per hour, depending onqualifications and relevant field safety experience.
