Chief Purpose of this position: Virginia CommonwealthUniversity Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Cardiologist toparticipate in a one year clinical and scholarly program. Thecandidate will join an established group of physicians and surgeonsin one of the top Heart Centers in the United States. We arededicated to building a preeminent program for academic discoveryand are committed to excellent clinical care for ourpatients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Advanced Imaging Scholar willtrain in Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance Imaging and AdvancedEchocardiography (including structural echocardiography). Theincumbent will be expected to contribute to study execution andinterpretation in the magnetic resonance and echocardiographylaboratories; and additional responsibilities will includeactivities in the clinic environment, and scholarly projects.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

• Board Certified/Board Eligible Cardiologist
• Demonstrated skills in the areas cardiovascular medicine
• Communicate effectively and work with a large multidisciplinaryprogram
• Clinically oriented and possess sufficient research andteaching experience to be eligible for academic appointment
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment ofrespect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty,staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or acommitment to do so as a faculty member at VCU

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest in noninvasive cardiovascular imaging and a desire toobtain advanced training in magnetic resonance andechocardiography

Salary Range: Commensurate
