Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients referred by physicians to develop tailored treatment plans.
• Implement and modify therapeutic interventions based on each patient's unique responses and progress.
• Provide one-on-one patient care while demonstrating exceptional customer service and professional communication.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure cohesive treatment approaches that maximize patient outcomes.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies to track patient progress and adjust care plans as needed for optimal recovery.
• Educate patients and their caregivers on best practices for recovery and injury prevention, fostering a supportive environment for healing.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and meet organizational utilization and performance goals.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position focuses mainly on orthopedic patients, but you will also have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients, including pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients. Each patient will present unique challenges and goals, allowing you to apply your skills and knowledge in various contexts. Your role will be instrumental in facilitating recovery from injuries, managing chronic conditions, and promoting health and wellness within our community.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program (APTA or CAPTE-approved).
• A valid State License in Physical Therapy, enabling you to practice in Florida.
• Current Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an emphasis on nurturing relationships with patients and colleagues.
• Proficient with word processing and basic computer applications, enhancing documentation and patient management processes.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in orthopedic physical therapy is highly desirable but not mandatory.
