Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient setting, tailoring care to each individual's needs following their recovery from injury, surgery, or illness.
• Develop and implement detailed treatment plans using various modalities, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and the use of equipment to enhance mobility and reduce pain.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously, tracking progress, responses to treatment, and adjustments to therapeutic goals as necessary.
• Provide education and training to patients, caregivers, and families on self-management techniques and the use of assistive devices, ensuring they understand their role in the rehabilitation process.
• Engage in continuous education to stay updated on industry best practices, trends in physical therapy, and new treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will involve working with a diverse patient demographic, including children, adults, and the elderly. You will encounter a variety of conditions such as post-surgical rehabilitation, orthopedic injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain management. Your expertise and ability to develop individualized treatment approaches will ensure each patient receives optimal care tailored to their specific circumstances.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required; a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is preferred.
• A valid physical therapy license in the state of Florida is mandatory before commencing work.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and team members.
• Ability to keep detailed records and demonstrate proficiency in computer usage relating to patient documentation.
• Demonstrated flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience as a practicing physical therapist is required.
• Experience in outpatient therapy settings and familiarity with diverse patient populations are preferred.
• Previous involvement in mentorship or training of new graduates is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
