Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adolescents, adults, and geriatrics on a PCU/MedSurg-Tele unit; implement care plans and participate in stroke care protocols; monitor neuro status and vital signs
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, administer medications per protocol (including post-MI and cardiac-related therapies), and adhere to heparin/IV insulin protocols
- Support respiratory needs with non-invasive ventilation options (HFNC, BiPAP/CPAP) and basic airway management as required
- Perform IV starts, peripheral line care, blood product administration, wound care (including VAC), chest tube care, and tracheostomy care as needed
- Collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Social Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, and Unit Secretary to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
- Document accurately in EPIC; maintain NIHSS assessments for stroke patients; uphold safety, infection control, and patient advocacy

Requirements
- Licensure: NY license in hand to submit
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year; PCU-trained candidates prioritized; EPIC charting experience required
- Additional: First-time traveler accepted; ability to float to sister units as needed; willingness to work nights and 12-hour shifts
