Our client, a financial services organization, is seeking a Collections Specialist to join their team. This permanent role offers an opportunity to directly impact recovery efforts and support effective account management. The position requires handling delinquent accounts, negotiating repayment plans, and providing excellent customer service. Collections Specialist Responsibilities: Manage an assigned portfolio of overdue accounts, monitoring payment progress. Reach out to debtors via phone, email, and written correspondence to discuss balances, negotiate repayment options, and establish payment arrangements. Record all communication and collection activities accurately within client standards and federal regulations. Offer outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries, clarifying information, and resolving concerns. Apply skip tracing techniques and tools to locate debtors with changed contact details or difficult-to-reach individuals. Collections Specialist Qualifications: Strong negotiation and persuasion skills, with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally with debtors. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including active listening and empathy. Ability to handle challenging conversations and resolve conflicts calmly and diplomatically. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and time management abilities.
