A neuropsychiatric hospital in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a skilled Staff Pharmacist for a contract assignment lasting approximately 13 weeks or until a permanent hire is made. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute expertise in a hospital inpatient setting supporting patient care in a specialized clinical environment.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process and verify medication orders within the hospital system
• Manage automated dispensing machines to ensure efficient medication distribution
• Communicate effectively with physicians, nursing staff, and hospital administrators to report and resolve pharmacy-related issues
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory policies related to pharmacy operations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active VA pharmacy license
• Prior experience in a hospital or inpatient pharmacy setting preferred
• Proficiency in data order entry and verification processes
• Familiarity with automated dispensing machines
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams
